Isheka N. Harrison

A Trusted Voice In Black America

Isheka N. Harrison is the Vice President of Newsletter and Business Development at Nubai Ventures and The Moguldom Nation. An experienced media professional with a 17-year track record of raising marginalized voices, Isheka believes it is one of the greatest privileges to be entrusted to tell someone’s story.

A former newspaper editor, Isheka has been featured as a speaker, presenter and judge for various organizations and was named one of “South Florida’s 40 Under 40 Leaders of Today and Tomorrow” by Legacy Magazine/Miami Herald in 2013. Isheka’s work has appeared in several notable outlets and she was named a 2021 Esserman Knight Awards Finalist, among other accolades.

Since beginning her media career in 2005 at The Miami Times – the city’s oldest, Black-owned publication – Isheka has been a keen advocate of using her pen and platform to elevate issues of relevance and importance to the Black community. She has been lauded as a fair journalist who seeks out stories that may not otherwise be told. Isheka has also served as a consultant to many clients looking for someone to help them bridge the gap with Black America.

Isheka holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Clark Atlanta University. She is committed to serving her community as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Black Professionals Network (BPN), and ColorComm.

Isheka also sits on the board of Seven Hillz Productions Foundation, which is dedicated to helping HBCU students and graduates launch careers in entertainment and storytelling.
