Georgia Dawkins

Georgia Dawkins is known as “The Purpose Producer.” From ABC’s Good Morning America to Will Packer’s’s Central Ave on FOX, she has worked across television, including local and network news, talk shows, reality television and entertainment news.

The award-winning producer and author got her start as a digital fellow with ABC News in 2008. Since then, she has gone on to produce television content for a global audience through local, national and digital media.

In 2017, she started creating content for networks that had never been seen on television. This includes developing Sister Circle Live for TV One, a national talk show featuring four African-American female hosts, a first of its kind.

With The Black Agenda Live , Dawkins created a show for The Grio that was dedicated to documenting the experiences and issues faced in the African-American community. She also worked on Sins of the City, a true crime series, for TV One.

In addition to being an international network producer, Dawkins is also an award-winning author and speaker. In 2018, her debut memoir, Everybody Knows: The Power of Being in Position, was released while she simultaneously launched Georgia Dawkins Media. Through her media company, she empowers brands through her unique style of one-on-one media coaching and content development.

She also launched The Purpose Producer Podcast as part of her company to honor people in positions who are using their gifts to provide opportunities for others to manifest their destinies. She is a notable keynote speaker giving talks at Google Headquarters, the Journalism and Women Symposium (JAWS), The Federal Reserve and the Congressional Black Caucus.

Dawkins has a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University and currently serves on the board of visitors for the School of Journalism and Graphic Communications. She also participates heavily in her alma mater’s philanthropic efforts, recently helping the university raise more than $200,000 through a social media giving drive.
